1991 MAKO 286 — DIESEL CONVERSION PROJECT
THE STORY
The previous owner started this project several years ago with a clear vision: ditch the original small block Chevys and build something that lasts. He swapped in Volvo diesels, replaced the fuel tank, and fabricated custom motor mounts — TIG welded and galvanized — that are installed in the boat and ready for the motors to be bolted back in.
The bilges have been fully stripped and repainted. The hard work of the conversion is done. This is not a basket case. The foundation is solid and the path to completion is straight.

THE BOTTOM LINE
The heavy lifting is done. Custom mounts are in, bilges are clean, fuel tank is new. Someone put real money and real skill into this project — TIG welded, galvanized fabrication is not weekend warrior work. Come in at whatever level makes sense for your budget and finish it your way.
